I experienced a water spill on the top of my desktop tower while it was running. After turning it off and disassembling it, it couldn't start again. I replaced the GPU to rule out that issue, but now the computer fails to display anything, even though it once attempted an automatic repair which then turned black permanently. The motherboard debug CPU light is also illuminated white. I've reset the CMOS on the motherboard without success. It seems the water likely damaged something, but I'm unsure if the motherboard or CPU needs replacement.

It might indicate the CPU remains functional while other board parts are faulty (capacitor, VRM, etc.)

Have you discovered a fix?
I'm facing the same issue—a coolant leak just above the CPU. After cleaning everything with isopropyl alcohol, I sometimes have access to the repair system. When the PC attempts to boot on Windows, it freezes. Occasionally, only the CPU LED stays red. I'm unsure about ordering a CM to test since I don't know anyone with an LGA 1700 socket. I also tried other RAM and still encountered the same problem...
