Yes, definitely. I wouldn't suggest it unless you're certain about what you're doing.

Yahoo... I arrived this morning and the sleep light was flashing. Opening the lid caused it to jump straight to desktop. Yesterday in Power Options I forgot and instead of selecting a "time" to "Put the computer to sleep" I chose "Never" and set it to sleep. This appears to be the only adjustment that resolved the issue. Thank you for all the advice and assistance.

Colif, I have the Lenovo Vantage app installed and run driver update scans as part of my routine maintenance.

I’m unsure how to review the reliability history to detect any hardware issues, but you might have encountered something related to hardware since I’m experiencing problems with my printer.

During the installation of the software for my Brother MFC-J485DW printer, the scanning tool ControlCenter4 displayed an error message stating it couldn’t install because it was already running. Once closed, it completed the remaining software installation except for ControlCenter4, which still doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

My mother reaches her 80th birthday next year, and I can't think of anyone asking such things on a forum... that would be my responsibility.

Thanks for the help with the Brother printer link. I was hoping it would resolve the issue, but it didn’t. I’ll just switch to my wife’s laptop for scanning whenever needed. It’s not often I need that.

Regarding the original message, the laptop now sleeps properly and the fix seems to be selecting "Never" in Power Options. Strange... but it worked. I’m unsure about setting a specific sleep time again unless it’s functioning correctly.

Colif, I also want to avoid giving false impressions since I plan to be 80 next year and haven’t taken any computer courses. I’ve been experimenting with them as a hobby for a while now. My first PC was a Gateway 433 MHz, 64 MB, 10 GB with Windows ME. It was challenging and enjoyable with dial-up, lol. I’ve also assembled several custom builds over the years. Overall, I enjoy learning and staying updated. : )

It doesn't make sense that switching sleep off would cause immediate sleep unless it restarted something, after which you need to turn it back on. Since sleep can't occur if it's set to never, the action must have reset it. As for the message, it seems unnecessary—just focus on downloading a 40mb file before the internet disconnects.

Completely understood. Yesterday I reset all power settings to their defaults and this morning it was still functioning as expected. Everything is fine.
I've experienced unusual issues with Windows 11 compared to Windows 10, such as printer and power-related problems. I've checked system files multiple times using the file checker, which either identifies errors or reports everything is okay.
My current issue involves Disk Cleanup, which fails to remove 1.3 GB of temporary files. I plan to clean them manually later.
Cheers

Was das Tablet ursprünglich mit Windows 10 ausgestattet oder wurde es später auf Windows 11 umgestellt?

It came with Windows 10, and after installing a new SSD I performed a clean install of Windows 10. Later, when Windows 11 was released, the PC Check confirmed it was eligible for an upgrade. I proceeded with the upgrade, and I think that's what happened.
