I experienced a dead monitor. After replacing the motherboard, the fan clip pin broke. I managed to get an image to the screen once, then turned it off and purchased a new fan—same model as before. It now fails to display output. I attempted a VGA connection but had no success. Many new builds face this issue, so I’m curious what might be causing this problem.
Note: Initially, when replacing the motherboard, I didn’t see any output and all indicators pointed to the CPU. I cleaned the bottom with kitchen towels despite warnings not to touch it. That’s when the display started working again.
I’m considering reverting to the old fan, but would that really make a difference?
BIOS needs to detect a fan spinning in the CPU_FAN header to proceed with POST and boot. Check if your fans are connected and working.
I adjusted the fan again but the same problem persisted. I rearranged the rams in the incorrect slots and then placed one in the nearest slot to the CPU, and now it works. This suggests that the second RAM might be damaged and unable to handle two sticks, or another part is affected.
Consult the MB manual for accurate RAM installation guidance across all settings.

I checked all possible positions. It only appears in A1. The single RAM in A2 isn’t working either. The mb suggests A2 or B2, but only A1 (closest mb) is valid. Could it be the mb slots or the CPU is damaged? The CPU shows some dark spots. Here’s a picture:

Slot 1 and slot 3 belong to the same channel, but the memory controller only recognizes two channels. This suggests the RAM might not be functioning properly in its companion slot, which implies the motherboard may not be reliable.
