Does the Asus BE6500 restrict LAN speeds to 100mbps?
Do you know the reason Asus BE6500 restricts my LAN speed to 90mbps instead of the expected 600mbps? I use a cat 6 cable, and it functioned perfectly with the previous router about a year ago. In the Asus panel, LAN 1 is displayed in yellow (indicating a 100mbps limit) while the ethernet WAN connection appears green, suggesting a 1 gbps capacity.

Features one 2.5GbE port for WAN and three 2.5GbE ports for LAN connections. The 2.5G ports are limited to speeds of 2.5G, 1G, or 100Mbps; no 600Mbps capability exists.
Have you explored alternative LAN ports or adjusted the cable connection?
The issue occurs in 99.99% of cases with poor or fake cables. Choose a brand new, factory-made, 100% copper, round cable. Cat5e or Cat6a are the right options. Avoid the "Cat 8" trend and flat cables—they’re unlikely to be genuine and may be counterfeit. Certification would be costly.
I attempted to describe the issue clearly, but the WAN appears green in the Asus router settings. It downloads at full speed (600mbps), while the LAN and TV connected to ports 1-3 are yellow and limited to 100mbps. Recently, I checked my old router using the same cable and it had a 600mbps download rate. It seems the cable is still functioning properly.
It doesn't matter. A cable that is not ideal will behave differently. Even slight bending might cause one of the 8 wires to touch or not touch. Obtain a new cable that matches your requirements. This is the only certain way to verify it.
LAN port 1 doesn't display any speed information. The router only shows the maximum possible speeds and connection status, not the actual connection rate being used.
Okey, now im lost.
1. I connected the laptop with another Cat5e = Laptop shows 600mbps
2.I connected my 20meter long Cat6 to computer = Shows 90mbps
BUT THEN
3. I Connected my Cat6 to Laptop = Shows 600mbps
4. Connected my Cat6 BACK to PC = Shows now 600mbps...
im totally lost, is there a connection issue from the pc end, or what happened. Could the re-connection help, or what ?
