Does restarting your graphics card to its standard settings after use improve its health?
I've been using the new Doom a lot and I've adjusted my R9 380 nitro with default settings. I changed the GPU clock from 1010 MHz to 1100 MHz and the memory clock from 1450 MHz to 1600 MHz for a slight boost in frames per second. I also increased the fan speed to 100% to prevent overheating. My concern is whether reverting everything back to default speeds, including the fan, after every session will cause any negative impact. Sometimes I take breaks, reset the overclock, and then try again, but I'm worried about doing this repeatedly in a day. I just wanted to check if I might be harming my card by constantly altering its clock speeds. Final note: I didn't change the voltage because I know it's the most dangerous step while overclocking, as extra volts could damage the card.
Not that I'm aware of, but it seems to impact it within six years. It's likely it won't remain relevant anytime soon, right? Got my idea.
