Hye. It seems your setup got a bit mixed up. After installing a new PC, she insisted on using Windows 7 with her old hard drive. By setting the BIOS to Legacy mode it functioned until the boot screen reached about half of the Windows logo before blocking into the repair menu or restart prompt. When you try to repair it, it goes through the repair device stage but the mouse and keyboard stop responding, though the BIOS still works.

It seems you're dealing with compatibility issues. A fresh installation might be necessary since Windows 7 may not work well on newer systems. Checking the PC's components could help identify what needs replacing or updating.
