Does my power supply have sufficient capacity to accommodate additional units?
Does my power supply have sufficient capacity to accommodate additional units?
Hey! I have a few questions about power supplies. I’m planning to purchase a Razer Kiyo webcam, Nommo Chroma speakers, and the Seiren Elite microphone. My setup includes a 600W PSU, GTX 1060 Ti GPU, AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, a Razer Basilisks Ultimate mouse with a charging dock, Razer ManO’War headphones, a Razer Blackwidow Elite keyboard (which lights up), a Razer Firefly mousepad, a Razer Base Station Chroma headphone stand. With everything lighting up and more devices drawing power, will my current 600W PSU still suffice? Or should I consider an upgrade?
Webcam, speakers and a microphone shouldn't consume much power (lights are typically LEDs, so they don't draw much; it's the CPU and GPU that use most of it...)
Webcam, speakers and microphone should consume minimal power (lights are typically LEDs, so they don’t draw much; the CPU and GPU are the main power consumers).... 600W is more than sufficient. It would be useful to know the PSU model or make as it there are some very cheap 600W 'off-the-shelf' units that aren't recommended for a gaming setup, unless you have a good quality one.
