Why do some folks seem stubborn about HP? It has a solid reputation in the communities I’m part of.
Hey there,
The idea of 'good enough' can vary a lot. It could work well for you, but might not suit someone else.
Still, the laptops offer a solid 1080p at 60hz. They're not top-tier for performance, and they don't shine in gaming, though they can still run the game.
If you're looking for that extra boost, then it's what you need.
Are you facing any performance issues?
Regarding HP laptops overall, I've used a few over the years. The newest is the HP Omen 15, which I really like. None of the three HP models I've tried have caused any problems. It's worth noting that HP's build quality wasn't always top-notch, but it has improved now, and they still produce some of the best gaming laptops (in my opinion).

The Ryzen 5500U mobile APU on that HP laptop continues to outperform the Intel alternative, i7-1165G7. The Ryzen 5500U features 12 hardware threads, whereas the i7-1165G7 only has 8, making more threads beneficial for the HP laptop's performance when handling multiple tasks. While it remains in the lower to mid-range for some users, it's reasonable considering its higher CPI compared to the i7 models.☺
The most visually intensive PC games remain manageable for that HP laptop equipped with a 6C12T Ryzen APU, 29.8GiB RAM, and a minimum of 480GiB SSD at the time.

They look impressive, yet they still require powerful GPUs. These titles rank among the most visually demanding PC games available.
