Does my computer stop working after showing that blue startup screen?
Here are the steps that happened. At first, everything was okay except for my printer which stopped working. When I checked if my printer worked and plugged it into a USB port, then restarted the computer, the pages in the queue started printing right away. That is fine. So far so good. But to my shock something new was happening. The computer would not go past the BIOS screen. It would flash an image of the desktop on the screen and then stop. I think I need to find a way to restart my computer in safe mode but it has been many years since I did this. The BIOS settings is another option I can explore. Suggestions please?
Any suggestions? When I post here about a problem, it's usual to put all my computer parts in there. Please list your specs like this: CPU cooler Motherboard RAM SSD HDD GPU PSU Chassis OS Monitor Also tell how old your power supply is besides the brand and model number. If you have two pieces of memory, try using just one. And if you have a built-in graphics card and a separate one, turn off the separate one and see what happens with the built-in one only.
