Does my computer refuse to start even after a standard power-off?
My setup includes an Asus Prime B550 Prime Plus with 32 RAM, a 3600MHz processor, an R7 3700X, an RTX 3070 with 8 GB VRAM, Corsair 850x Gold liquid cooling, a new 1TB M.2 SSD, an external 500GB SSD, and a 1TB hard drive. I’m not fluent in English, sorry for the mistakes.
About a couple of months ago, after a regular shutdown, my PC wouldn’t start again, only showing the RGB lights without any boot activity. I’ve tried replacing the monitor, buying a new one, testing RAM, video card, and battery, even cleaning everything with an air cleaner. The issue persists.
I stress-tested the CPU on Cinebench for nine minutes, confirmed it was fine, but nothing changed. I swapped in a different GPU and shut down to check if the problem resolved, but it still happened. I also replaced the Corsair RMA850X Gold with a new one. The problem continues.
I’ve done everything possible, but I need your help from the community. My PC is from iBuypower and I replaced the AIO cooler for a new Kraken X63 two months ago. Could you assist?
What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard? Regarding the boot issue, what methods exist to restore power and run Cinebench if the system fails to boot normally? Also, do you still have any warranty coverage remaining on this prebuilt setup?
Actually, my bios version is 3002 from 3/14/23. The PC is fine overall, but when I try to shut it down, it turns off completely. The next time I want to use it, I have to press the power button and wait a few seconds before turning it back on. If I manually shut it down, it restarts after a short while and starts working properly again. Recently I formatted the PC, but now it resets itself after a few minutes of use. Sorry, I’m a bit confused, and my grammar isn’t perfect.
Unfortunately, the warranty has expired. I purchased it from ibuypower two years ago, but we won't care—I'll buy a TUF X570 GAMING PLUS soon, hopefully fixing the issue. Thanks for your suggestion 😀!
Your issue could relate to the Windows "Fast Startup" setting.
For Windows 11, refer to this article.

For Windows 10, check this guide.

Sorry, I didn't make it clear that I disable Windows Startup on all my machines. It might be worth trying to see if the situation improves when it's turned off.
Today I just updated the motherboard, and the issue is fixed🙂🤙 Now I'm attempting to install Windows 10, but there were many errors, so I'm resetting the system and wondering what will happen next.
