It won't get any worse; it's always better with the correct CPU usage. Does this occur only in Call of Duty, or is it a broader problem across all games?

This helps in locating the problem more easily. The issue might relate to hard drive paging during gameplay, as discussed before. I'll include a link. Question – Warzone lag spikes, stuttering, freezing, drops, etc. Extreme lag in Warzone. Recently, I've experienced significant slowdowns. I'm using a Ryzen 5 2600 and an MSI Armor RX 570. When the game runs smoothly at about 90 fps, every action—turning, shooting, moving—causes it to drop to 20-30 fps or worse... forums.

By "lag" you mean stutters, low frame rates, or rubber banding effects.

It will stutter and pause for ten seconds. I’ll start a gunfight freeze and when I unfreeze, I’m dead lol
