I'm still working through my problem with MSI Afterburner after the Windows update didn't show CPU, GPU, or FPS data properly. I checked an MSI Afterburner support forum this morning and asked about possible fixes, but a moderator dismissed me, calling me a "readme hater" and saying they wouldn't help since laptops aren't supported. It feels a bit unfair, especially since I can't test the readme file myself. I'm wondering if it really means laptops aren't compatible, or if I just need to adjust settings for Windows versions instead.

MSI OSD is essentially an overlay that works with any GPU from any brand, according to what I know. Although OC Scanner might not function on laptops, all other Afterburner features should still operate properly. It's mainly about monitoring the GPU.
With that in mind, what experimental update have you installed? Windows 10 or 11?
Have you attempted to uninstall and reinstall MSI? Are your GPU drivers and system drivers current?

I've attempted nearly every solution possible. Removing MSI Afterburner, updating to the latest version, reinstalling the newest Windows update—I wasn’t using Windows 11, only an update that claimed it hadn’t undergone full testing. I also tried reverting graphics drivers, assuming that was the issue, but it didn’t help. There seems to be some compatibility problems with the update and how MSI Afterburner identifies my hardware. The only way MSI recognized my GPU was disabling the "enable low level I/O driver" option, yet not all checked OSDs appeared on the screen. I’ve essentially stopped uploading gaming videos to my YouTube channel because it’s no longer clear to see GPU/CPU usage and my FPS isn’t showing.
I managed to get it functioning. I had to adjust the settings on the OSD parameters screen, but now it shows all the information I need.
