The reason for 365 days is explained as follows...
My process begins with a complete system setup on Day 1, featuring a full image of the operating system, fully operational and updated.
Then Day 2 adds the basic application load.
Following that, a full image is created, followed by a sequence of incremental updates. Maintain this for 30 days, replacing the oldest version each time.

I open a document to add more details, but sometimes I unintentionally delete or change some text without realizing it, then press save and close it. After weeks, while reading the older version, I notice missing or altered content. For example, sentences might end abruptly or I see strange characters, possibly from a previous keyboard mistake. To recover the original text, I need to check backups.

Regardless of the explanation, saving a year's worth of changes on the OS disk isn't the best approach.
Maybe using File and Folder backups with Macrium would be better.

I have two hard drives, the first one has Windows installed on C:, and the second is for storing documents like Word, Excel, videos, images, and text.
I have been following this method: In Macrium reflect [Create Backups], I clicked on the image of both disks and selected both drives.
I did not use the option to create a file and folder backup.
Since you mentioned "Possibly File and Folder backups in Macrium," do you think it’s better to:
- In Macrium reflect [Create Backups] I will click on the image of the disks and select only hard disk 1?
- Or in Macrium reflect [Create Backups] I will click on [Create a File and Folder backup] and select only hard disk 2?

What difference does this make compared to what you’ve been doing with just the image selection?

You can manage both full and incremental backups efficiently, with separate schedules for each type.
Storing 365 days of full drive images—both full and incremental—may not work properly when you need to restore data later.

I mean the phrase refers to performing backups at distinct times or schedules. "Full drive backup on one schedule" means a complete backup is carried out according to a specific timetable, while "File/Folder backup of only a couple of folders, on a different schedule" indicates selecting a subset of files and folders for backup at another time. The examples provided clarify this by showing two scenarios: one using Schedule A and another using Schedule B, each with its own selection criteria and timing.
