You've set up Pop OS on your USB drive, but you're wondering if your work will remain after restarting and reinstalling. It's best to back up your data before proceeding with a clean install, as it could affect your files. If you're unsure, consider using a backup method first. For the installation itself, a clean install is usually safe unless you have specific concerns about data loss.

Selecting the demo mode will not preserve your progress. Use a persistent storage solution instead. https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/14912/cr...ash-drive/

The live mode in the installer isn't permanent; it resets on each startup. It doesn't retain any data until you perform another installation. However, you can transfer it to a USB drive or SD card for consistent use. A premium, high-speed version would be ideal.
