Does HDR exist in all video games, or does a game need to specifically support it, and how many games support it?
Considering purchasing an HDR panel, I want to understand its suitability for gaming and the extent of its compatibility. Specifically, does HDR have limited compatibility due to a lack of game support, and if so, what percentage of games actually support it? Does support need to be built into the game itself, or is it a more prevalent feature? Essentially, do most games currently support HDR?
HDR is a game feature that must be developed in; it is not something all games can do. As far as available HDR games, it's growing fast and far more than the handful it started out as, but there’s really only about 75 PC games that currently support it. The thing to takeaway there though is many are being added all the time, and in development.
