Hey, I’m curious if anyone can assist me with this issue where I experience stutters in-game? For instance, when the game is limited to around 60 frames per second it drops to 50-55, which also happens when the FPS isn’t capped. I believe this problem has been ongoing since I changed my motherboard and CPU about eight months ago. I had an MSI B550 AORUS ELITE V2 with an i5-11400F before that.

PC Specifications
Motherboard: B550 AORUS ELITE V2
CPU: Ryzen 5600
GPU: RTX 3070
RAM: 4 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 CL18 (one new kit plus one old kit)
PSU: be quiet 750W

This is what I’m consistently seeing across most games.

What I attempted:
- Used only two RAM sticks (both kits tested), but it didn’t resolve the issue.
- Updated GPU drivers / switched to older GPU drivers (DDU).
- Closed all background apps such as Wallpaper Engine, Discord, Nvidia Overlay.
- Reinstalled Windows and adjusted XMP settings.
- Restarted the system and tried fresh installations.

I’m really hoping someone can offer some guidance and help me out, as I’m feeling quite frustrated.

run a benchmark to evaluate CPU and GPU performance, monitor real frequencies, and observe temperatures.

Watch this 5-minute video to see how it appears in CS2. The timestamps highlight the obvious stutters, excluding minor microstutters. Notable moments are at 1:17, 2:38, 4:08, 4:54 and 1:59.
