Does fixing CPU issues help overcome bottlenecks in CompGames (FT Valorant)?

i'm discussing valorant online... when i notice the cpu stays around 70% but my friends use only 30-40%, even though i have a 6-core, 6-thread processor. can it be improved? i play at 900p with a 1080p 165hz screen and a 1650 super gpu with 16gb ram—no issues there. my concern is whether the resolution affects cpu performance.

Generally, higher resolution means lower CPU load. In higher quality games, the GPU handles more work while the CPU does less. The impact isn’t huge in competitive play. What really counts is your overall performance.

Well kinda good and bad news situation - with the higher resolution, your CPU usage will drop drown (good news), BUT (bad news incoming) i am not sure this 1650 will be capable of keeping an average of 165FPS @ 1080p for that monitor to sync well, so you might experience some unpleasant tearing.

It's a high-end 1650 model capable of over 120fps, especially in 4K. I'm running on a Ryzen 5 3500 at 4.1ghz and achieving around 200fps at 900p—so it's definitely pushing the limits.

It offers decent FPS, but loading new apps causes lag (79–90 FPS from 180). Will it improve with a 1080p 165Hz display? Your current 900p 80Hz is stable.

The performance isn't dropping when using other apps or the headset, but FPS decreases under heavy load. Upgrading to a 1080p monitor might help improve stability.
