My computer suddenly lost internet connection even though I'm using a stable wired setup. I can resolve it by turning off the network adapter and restarting it, which should get me back online immediately until the issue recurs.

Did you verify the Device Manager and Properties settings for the network adapter? Ensure the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option is not selected.

The initial step is to inspect the physical cable. If it's disconnected or the prong is damaged, this issue arises frequently.

this hub is the device you're asking about, which could be a modem, router, powerline adapter, or something similar.

Click right mouse on the network icon at the bottom, troubleshoot issues. If that doesn't help, navigate to settings, network and internet, then reset the network. If problems persist, remove the item from the device manager and restart the device.

Check the Reliability History/Monitor for any error codes, warnings, or logs around the time the network disconnected.
