When playing games or using Discord, sometimes the minimized window causes me to be logged out from a voice chat or makes clicking on Discord extremely slow. I’m wondering if there’s a valid explanation for this behavior. My system specifications are as follows: i7-12700k, Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black CPU Cooler, Intel CPU Contact Frame, Crucial Ballistix 64GB 2x32 3600mhz CL16 DDR4, MSI MAG Tomahawk WiFi Z690 Motherboard, ASUS Tuf Gaming OC 4090, MSI MEG Ai1300W PSU, and a few 8TB HDDs from Seagate with the boot drive on a Samsung 980 2TB. My guess is related to RAM or CPU spikes, but I haven’t seen anything unusual during tests that would cause a full CPU or memory overload. Would upgrading to DDR5 help?

I would consider removing the app, restarting the system, and then reinstalling it after downloading the installer again from their website. Could you tell me the BIOS version of your motherboard? It might be helpful to use Samsung's Magician app to check if your SSD requires a firmware update. What operating system are you using?

I looked into Samsung Magician recently and found there are no firmware updates available. Regarding the BIOS, I’m not certain, and this issue seems to have started only recently, possibly early this year. I’m using Windows 10. I’ve uninstalled everything related to Discord, deleted all folders, and reinstalled it a few times. I tried disabling game mode, turning off hardware acceleration in Windows, and adjusting power settings. I also turned off voice debug on Discord and disabled hardware acceleration. Everything is fine except for Discord itself, so I’m not sure what to try next. I don’t want to upgrade my motherboard or RAM to DDR5 because the 15th generation Intel chips are coming soon. I could switch to an AM5 platform and have more upgrade options, but with Intel now I’m limited before reaching the peak.

It will restart me from a voice chat I'm in or when I click on Discord, but it takes a long time for Discord to load.
You can check system performance with Task Manager, Resource Monitor, and Process Explorer.
Use each tool individually but keep one open at a time.
Open the tool, watch the changes as Discord starts, stops, updates, or reloads.
Also, check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any Discord-related errors, warnings, or messages.
The goal is to figure out what’s happening, what should happen, or what isn’t happening as expected.
