I have a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro and my screen broke. I bought a brand new replacement screen, but when I turn it on, the computer says I need AMD drivers to fix some settings. The laptop actually uses Intel graphics for display in Device Manager. I can't install AMD drivers without any AMD hardware connected. So here are my questions: 1) Am I right about needing AMD drivers for this laptop screen? 2) Can I try installing AMD drivers on my computer anyway? 3) What else can I do to get the screen working again? The old part number was ATNA56YX02, and the new one is ATNA56YX03. Also, note that the old screen's power sequence mentions "Intel" for changing register values because it worked before.

Welcome to our forums! Samsung has lots of Galaxy Books for all your needs at their website shop. They sell many things like 2-in-1 laptops such as the Galaxy Book2 Pro or a serious performance PC called the Galaxy Book Odyssey. Check this link: www.samsung.com Now, which one do you have? An SKU helps us two fold!

I have a Samsung NP950XDB-KC5US laptop. It comes with an Intel Core i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM running Windows 11 Home. The graphics are built-in using Intel Iris Xe, not from AMD. The CPU clock speed is 2.8 GHz. When you turn it on, the screen lights up just like before but without that AMD part in the mix.

I think this might be just about picking the right screen for your gadget. I didn't see any cases where someone tried something like that before. All the screens I looked at for that computer had exact same model numbers as yours.

Thanks for your feedback. Since we aren't making the original screen, you can't buy that old part number anymore. Also, these screens are really expensive (at least for me), like around $350 USD including shipping. So I was hoping to get a new one working without buying another one just yet.

I bought a new laptop screen for my Samsung Book Pro, but the power button doesn't work right now. It needs to tell AMD to change a specific setting so the screen can show up. I guess it will only work if you install AMD drivers, even though my laptop doesn't have an external graphics card. Here are the specs: CPU is an Intel Core i7 with 16 GB of RAM running Windows 11 Home. The built-in graphics are Intel Iris Xe. The old screen part number was ATNA56YX02 and the new one is ATNA56YX03. What should I do to make this work? I'm asking for suggestions like updating the driver code for Intel Iris Xe to add that setting line (it sounds risky, but it's urgent because these screens are expensive). Note: The old screen had the same power-off order and said "Intel," which was fine since it worked.

Just keep to one topic if you don't think every single person has a brain made of noodles.
