Does a tension stabiliser have to be sinusoidal for a high-end laptop?
Hi everyone,
I own an Alienware M18 r1 with Nvidia 4090 and an intel i9. Recently, due to a power surge, the cable inside the chassis that connects the AC outlet to the motherboard melted. Dell replaced the motherboard and the cable with a box. I bought a tension stabilizer for 150€, now I'm wondering if using one with a sinusoidal wave would make a difference in this setup. Would it be safer? Have a nice day

Hi Ralston, here is the product I purchased:

I noticed it has a sinusoidal design, so I wanted to know what might differ:

Appreciate your help!
Another inquiry, I just configured the tension stabiliser. The display indicates a voltage of 246 with minor variations of one or two on both input and output. I'm sorry for the simple questions, isn't it meant to set the output at 230? I don't see any method to adjust it.
