I acquired this aluminum laptop stand to elevate my laptop and observed it gently tilts the device downward. This forces me to raise the screen more to maintain eye level. Would this downward adjustment affect the airflow from the laptop, or does it improve it? Is it still preferable compared to placing the laptop flat on a table?

Laptops differ from desktops in that they're designed for unconventional setups. Just ensure the intake vent isn't blocked.

intake and outtake vents.
This is true. The tilting won't affect it.

As long as three is a bit of clearance where the fan grills are, the angle does not matter.

I was planning to ask this. I wonder if it could be problematic due to putting the CPU fan bearings under stress in an uneven position.

They're going to tell the Marines about the tilted tail rotor on their helicopters, and it's not okay.
