Does a 100-voltage surge damage the ASUS Strix 1070 OC?
I received an ASUS Strix 1070 OC Edition and sought advice on overclocking. Someone suggested increasing the voltage to 100 (Max). I followed their instructions, but after playing Overwatch for about 30 minutes, I noticed some unstable performance. I reset everything back to default settings. My memory clock was around 300-500 and CPU clock at about 300, which seemed very unstable. Now everything is back to normal. I’m concerned that this might have damaged my GPU or significantly reduced its performance. Did it actually harm the GPU or affect the whole PC?
Have you noticed any problems after setting default values? Would simply reverting them to the original settings influence your performance and GPU usage?
