Following a Windows update, my files disappeared again—this is the third time it’s happened! My boot drive also lost pictures, and it’s worst for my old games that don’t have cloud saves (like GRAW2 or NFS:MW2005). Please help me fix this. Thanks in advance.

Halt the drive, extract it and attempt data recovery. The latest Windows update caused issues deleting user files; the best option is to run a recovery process, as reverting the update won’t restore the data.

It was a significant issue. His device might have needed an update for a long time, but it eventually passed it.
