Open the office and store word files with .doc extensions. File compatibility is now acceptable.

In certain applications, you can adjust the standard saved file format. For example, saving to Word 97 or later versions instead of older .ODT files by default.

OpenOffice had its rough start with Apache, but it’s now very stable. Outperforms any wording. A true open-source success.

I switched from OpenOffice and MSOffice to LibreOffice; it’s really user-friendly and powerful for documents and spreadsheets. It also works smoothly with MSWord format.
