I employ a specific setup including the Asus Prime B450M-A, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz DDR4 16GB RAM and an RTX 2060. I recently discovered docp but feel uncertain about using it. Is it compatible with my configuration? Usually it would cap performance at around 2100 MHz, but now it reaches 3200 MHz. I'm worried about potential issues like blue screens or other problems. A forum mentioned my motherboard might not support it, but I'm unsure if that's accurate. Please let me know if you need further clarification.
DCP doesn't pose any risk to your PC. Running it is perfectly fine and beneficial. It simply lets your RAM operate at the speeds it's designed for.
You can try closing the system and see if it restarts, but it might not fix the issue.
I used DOCP with a 32GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX. My ASUS X570 TUF didn't accept it. I purchased a G.Skill 16GB kit that operates at 3600MHz, featuring RGB lighting. DOCP functioned perfectly with that setup. It confirmed compatibility with Ryzen and the provided OC profile. DOCP is safe and effective for achieving the advertised RAM speed. If DOCP doesn't work, you'll need to manually adjust it. I'm unsure how to do that, so I opted for the new kit. Alternatively, you'd have to stick to the base speed of 2133MHz.
