I upgraded my A10 5800k from 3.8ghz to 4.5ghz. Asrock's A Tuning shows CPU idle temps around 26°C, and the room temperature is about 16-17°C or 63°F. Are these temperatures normal? I've compared them with bios in the past and they matched well. Should I push for even higher speeds? My cooler is a Cooler Master Hyper T4.
The idle temperatures appear acceptable, with normal levels around 10 degrees Celsius above ambient. Overclocking via the computer's BIOS provides better stability, though everything seems to be functioning properly.
I've observed it reaching up to 35*C, so I'll keep an eye on it for a few days to ensure it stays within limits. Which frequency should I aim for—4.7ghz or 5.0ghz?
As long as you stay within the max vcore and temperatures during operation.
It's unlikely it will reach 35c even when under load, especially with a T4.
Yes. 35*C wasn't operating at full capacity. Would it be wise to run a stress test using Prime95 to verify stability? Could you achieve around 5.0 ghz?
