Do you suspect a dead CPU, motherboard, or PSU problem?
Do you suspect a dead CPU, motherboard, or PSU problem?
I have attempted all possible solutions to connect with this system I just created
5800x
Rog b550f gaming mb
3070ti
32gb ram
Rm750e
Kraken z53
Wd black ssd
All components were installed properly and in the right slots. When I power on the power supply, the rog logo lights up and the aio lcd screen also activates to show power.
When I try to turn the PC on, every fan starts spinning briefly before stopping. The rog logo keeps lighting up, but there’s no indication of RGB activity in the ram. The CPU matches the motherboard BIOS and was installed correctly.
I tested the RAM in my brother’s PC and it worked perfectly on the first attempt. I also tested the GPU, which functioned flawlessly. Since I couldn’t verify if the issue lies with the motherboard or the CPU, and there are no spare parts available, I’m unsure whether the problem is related to the power supply, the motherboard, or a dead CPU.
Can you test the PSU in your brother's setup?
CPU issues are very rare.
The motherboard is probably fine if the PSU works elsewhere, provided your cables and connections are correct.
A motherboard failure is not unusual.
I’ll attempt to run my PSU in his system and if it succeeds, it’s probably the motherboard. But if I can’t post them, I’ve identified what’s causing my failure.
