I changed from a 3600x to a 5800x3d two days back... no need to reinstall windows.
On Windows 11, you might have to remove your TPM key during startup because the CPU swap happened there.
Otherwise, Windows seems to function normally.

I changed the CPU and went from 18395 to 22139. I had few other scores saved.
