Do you require an additional power supply unit for your new setup?
So I just completed a fresh setup:
MBD: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk MAX WiFi Gaming
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5000 Series
GPU: RX Radeon 7600
My previous PSU was a Cooler Master 500 watt RS-500-PCAR-D3. After connecting the motherboard, it seems I only have a 6-pin power connector left from the PSU and the GPU needs an 8-pin. Am I in trouble? Do I require another power supply? Or is there another solution? Thanks!

Same cost here. At least Newegg doesn’t steer me so was prepared just in case Amazon was overcharged. For $80 it’s a solid deal, PSU shouldn’t be overlooked.

Corsair offers cheaper models like VS but they’re mainly for office-style systems without a graphics card. RM comes with a 10-year warranty. RMx is an upgrade, better than HXi but pricier. RM is decent and will last. There are other brands too, but cheaper options with shorter warranties I’d avoid.
Tier A or B should be the main focus.

I believe your previous PSU wasn't modular, since you connect cables directly into it. The Corsair Rm model has labeled cables. However, if earlier models were modular or for your reference, avoid using cables from different PSUs or generic replacements unless they match the specific design. Pin configurations vary between brands and even within the same brand. Always use the cables that come with the PSU, including PCIe, CPU, ATX, SATA, and any other compatible connectors.
RM is a Tier A device.
It's good to hear. You're correct about the old model not being modular. The one I got should have the standard 20+4 pin and an 8 pin for the board, plus another 8 pin for the GPU, right? Sorry, I wouldn't know how to find that. I'm hoping so because I ordered it. I also noticed one of the case fans uses a Molex connection—I wonder if it has one too. I only spent $57 because I had 27 in Amazon without realizing it.
Thanks for mentioning the cables; I had an older 800-watt unit with extra cables and probably would have used them if you hadn't pointed that out! LOL

The case fan doesn't include molex, but a sata to molex adapter is possible or molex can connect to the fan header on the motherboard.
