I own a high-end HP 8710w laptop that was once a top workstation. I want to retire Windows XP. Do I need a special HP Windows 7 version that supports all my devices like touchpad, Bluetooth, WiFi, fingerprint sensor, etc., or will the standard download from Microsoft work? We've faced issues with Panasonic Toughbooks needing their own Windows version for proper display and touchscreen functionality.
