I’m not trying to be an extreme LN2 enthusiast, but I’m also not brand new. I upgraded my 5820k after my 4790k didn’t quite handle my multitasking and content creation needs. My previous chip ran at 4.6 GHz with a 1.26 core voltage, cooled by an H100I and kept cool to around 75°C under load. Now I’m wondering if my current 5820k at 4.4GHz and below 1.2V is a great match for this chip or if I’m overreacting. Stability tests with OCCT showed 4 hours without crashes, and temperatures peaked at 65°C on the hottest core.
I just won the lottery son. My 5820k struggles to go past 4.4GHz with more than 1.4v. It's running at 4.3GHz/1.3v and 57c Idle 78c Max with 65c Gaming/Streaming. I'm using a Cooler Master Case Pro 5, equipped with three Jetflo120mm intake fans, one 120mm Jetflo Exhuast fan, and a 212 Evo with Arctic Silver Paste. I've attached some photos taken with iPotato 4—quality not great.

Vel Koz explains his setup clearly, noting he's not an extreme overclocker but has some experience. He upgraded from a 4790k to a 5820k, which now runs at 4.4GHz with a voltage around 1.195V. He questions whether this voltage and clock speed combination is optimal for his chip or if he's overreacting. He mentions stability tests with OCCT and good performance on 3DMark, with temperatures staying under 65°C even during peak loads. He also asks if the Intel Turbo Boost feature might be restricting the chip's performance.

You're a silicon lottery winner, Vel Koz. Running at 1.325v for stability at 4.4Ghz on your 5820k. No additional limits on your OC beyond what you're conscious of.
