Do you notice that monitors lose signal when you begin gaming?
I've experienced this problem only in the past two weeks and it has been quite annoying.
Every time I launch a game, the menu appears and when my save is loaded, my monitors lose signal. I have to force shut down my PC to get the signal back. My PC doesn't actually shut off, just the monitors lose connection and won't restart. Even after using Ctrl+Windows Key+Shift+B to reset my GPU drivers, the issue persists.
I've searched online for solutions over the last two weeks and tried several fixes.
I changed cables from the PSU to the CPU and from the GPU to the monitors.
I completely uninstalled and reinstalled my GPU drivers, ensuring my BIOS was up to date.
A shop benchmark showed no problems with my GPU in their test bench, even for my secondary GPU (1660ti), which I keep as a backup for system stability.
I double-checked the thermal paste on both the GPU and CPU, and during game launches, temperatures never exceeded 70-75°C.
They suggested it might be related to my boot drive, so I replaced it and now it's working properly.
I modified a registry file with the "tdrdelay" settings, which improved gaming performance for about one or two days, but nothing lasting.

I'm still unsure what's causing this, the only change I made was swapping my PSU, but even then it happened.

My PSU is a quiet straight power 12 1000w unit, roughly one to 1.5 years old. I recently attempted a benchmarking app, and it started as expected. My CPU and GPU are overclocked, so I'm just verifying the base speed versus its current running clock. RAM remains untouched in this regard.
My laptop with a Core i7 6th gen processor and 8GB of RAM has had the same difficulties. Sometimes the screen just goes black while I'm working. Since you've tried practically everything, it could be a problem with the power delivery or the GPU driver. Here are some other things you can do:
Before the freeze, look for faults in the Windows event logs, use a different monitor or cable, and turn off any overclocking. A malfunctioning VRM on the motherboard or a bad PSU can sometimes cause this problem. If it's hard to change the PSU, consider reinstalling Windows or testing the GPU on a different computer if you can.
After getting my new fans tomorrow and adding them, conveniently one of my existing fans left unexpectedly yesterday.
To date, I've finished the GPU benchmarking and am about to complete the CPU benchmarking, which is progressing smoothly. It seems the signal has already stopped reaching my monitors.
