Hi everyone
Laptop model:
Asus ROG Zephyrus GU603HE
I’m not sure about this chance, but I bought this laptop for $300 because a motherboard part got damaged—probably a resistor. It shorted out and fell off the board when the previous owner accidentally pinched the EDP cable pin in the back cover. This exposed two wires that ended up connecting and causing the screen to stop working.
I’ve already swapped in a new LCD screen and replaced the EDP cable, but I still need the value of that resistor or cap.
I have a complete schematic.
It’s really frustrating to find something online, but I managed to narrow it down. Unfortunately, I don’t have the part, lol.
Would anyone with this model (when the bottom cover is off) be able to measure the resistance? It should be simple with a basic multimeter or DVM.
I have a rework station and service monitor, so I’m confident I can fix it.
Please see the photo I took with my digital microscope.
Thanks

P.S. If anyone wants a copy of the full schematic, just let me know.

Confirm if it's a resistor or a capacitor by checking its characteristics.
