I just completed my first full PC build and am now updating the drivers. I visited the Asus site on my motherboard page and downloaded the newest chipset driver, but the error keeps appearing. I’ve tried running sfc, disabling Windows Defender, and setting default locations. When I select Custom Install, the driver appears installed, though it might not be fully set up. Should I try uninstalling the current software and downloading the chipset from AMD’s site instead? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The installation is for the graphics driver, not the chipset driver.

It looks like you're possibly confusing the setup process. In most cases, you don't require a chipset driver unless you're dealing with specific hardware components. It's usually not needed for general use.

The chipset drivers from AMD are current, and the drivers from ASUS tend to be standard.

Here are the GPU drivers you requested. Not the chipset ones, just the GPU-specific ones.

I was just processing your statement.
You're absolutely correct.

Are you sure? It seems like a mix-up. Did you mean to ask about the download or something else?

It's not uncommon for graphics drivers to be listed under 'Chipset' on manufacturer sites. That labeling can vary by company and product line.

They are GPU drivers. You didn’t mention how they got mixed up, but it’s okay.

You can obtain the chipset driver directly from AMD's website. What is your motherboard chipset?
