Link router with modem using an 8-port switch setup. For improved wireless reach, install a wireless access point and connect it to the router. Internet performance naturally varies as multiple users access it, so speeds won’t be uniform across all devices. Bandwidth is divided among users and will diminish accordingly.

The need for two routers stemmed more from coverage than bandwidth. Having just one provided sufficient reliability for everyone in the house. I get what you mean—WiFi is often overlooked compared to Ethernet. Our priority was ensuring enough Ethernet ports and balanced bandwidth distribution among devices. Sometimes certain gadgets had fast speeds while others struggled. Could we improve how bandwidth is shared so no single device monopolizes it and others lag? It does feel like a deliberate slowdown, but if the overall experience becomes smoother and more consistent, it might be worthwhile.
