I've been making some components for friends recently. My hands are getting a bit rough, and the front panel pins are tricky to work with. I was thinking about using male to female adapters to connect each line to a head and plug it into the board—would that be possible?

This would be feasible. It seems Asus and possibly other brands likely implemented this feature on their earlier motherboards.

Some Asus boards once included this feature, but it seems they discontinued it.
