Do you need Dell Optiplex 3020 Windows 11 drivers?
Hello There,
I have a concern because Microsoft plans to stop providing support for Windows 10 in October 2025. I recently purchased a Dell OptiPlex 3020 mini tower with Windows 10 Pro enabled. My question is whether it's possible to install Windows 11 on it. I found on YouTube that it might be feasible, but I'm unsure about the availability of drivers for Windows 11, especially for the mainboard chipset and related components.
If anyone can assist me, I would really appreciate it.

No drivers are available for Win 11 on that system.
The i5-4590 is four generations behind the officially supported list for Win 11.
It might be possible to install it, though there are no drivers tailored specifically for it.
Win 11 will generally function on unsupported hardware.
However, there are no available chipsets or drivers for your system.
That's problematic, what should I do with a PC running Windows 11 without drivers? It feels like the system is broken. Can I switch to Windows 10 after they stopped supporting it for a few more years? What does ending support really mean—it just means we won't get security updates anymore? I see many people still using Windows 7.
Yeah, there are no Windows 11 drivers available yet.
But your existing Windows 10 drivers should function perfectly on Windows 11. If you don’t see any yellow check marks in the Device Manager for Windows 10, it means all your drivers are compatible with the new OS.
The issue is you must move your Windows 10 installation files to a USB drive before deleting the old version. Save the entire "system 32" folder there and keep it ready.
Obtain the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft to follow their instructions for creating a Windows USB installer that works with your older system.
Try installing Windows 11 using the research you found on installing it on non-approved systems.
The most common driver that causes older systems to show the yellow check mark is Intel Management Engine.

Once Windows 11 is installed, check your Device Manager. Any drivers needing installation will point you to the saved "system 32" folder for further action.
It might seem like a lot of extra steps, but most are straightforward and will let you run a fully functional Windows 11 on your old Dell.
If this feels overwhelming, consider sticking with Windows 10 and moving forward.
Thank you for your response. I'll attempt this when updating Windows 10 support. Appreciate the text from @stonecarver. Thanks again for the help.
