You might also attempt the following command once you've closed DiskPart: bcdboot C:\Windows /s Z: /f UEFI (this will generate a boot manager that follows the sequence to C Smile

Hey, the command worked and the job finished, but your PC won't start Windows. It seems like something is preventing your BCD from being rebuilt. Could be with the 970 Evo model? Not sure anymore. Also, a Restart issue is messing up your BCD.

To remove files from the original drive, install Windows on the second drive, boot from that, and then access the files on the first drive. You can then fully wipe the first drive and start a clean installation. Use Ise Windows Media Creation Tool to generate a bootable USB for the new Windows setup.

It’s a viable choice I’m aware of, but I’m also aiming to prevent reconfiguring numerous settings on my system. I’m checking if it’s feasible to transfer a BCD from one NVMe using Windows Working Copy into a USB drive and then import it into another NVMe with the BCD altered.

You've already handled most of it (Windows USB works with BCD). Is the PC ready out of the box? Was a firmware update applied?

I've created a BCD backup from my previous M.2 setup and transferred it to the damaged M.2 970 Evo Plus, but the process failed. It might be due to issues with my command lines. I've cleaned up the recovery drive and labeled it, but I'm still unsure if Windows installation or the 970 Evo Plus is preventing a successful rebuild. I've purchased a Sabrent NVMe M.2 SSD with an aluminum heat sink to avoid similar problems. I'm considering switching from Windows 10 to Windows 11 once everything is configured. Thank you for your help.
