Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I just set up her first computer today, and it’s functioning perfectly. The only issue is that whenever she logs in with her Windows account, it displays a temporary account warning, and all files will be lost when she signs off. I searched online but found no solution—just people switching from Windows 7/8 to Windows 10 and encountering the same error. None of the fixes helped. We did the following: we built the machine, installed Windows 10 Education without a product key, observed the problem, tried some online solutions, and finally activated a legit Win10 product key. Now she has the MSI B350 PC Mate. I’m not sure if that matters, but it’s definitely working. Hopefully, someone can help with this. Feel free to ask any questions—I’ll get back to you quickly. Best regards, -VicRik P.S.: Not a native English speaker.

It seems the provided information might be unclear. Could you clarify whether you purchased the correct product key and specify the version of Windows you're using? Additionally, let me know where you bought the key.

The issue came up before the key was purchased. I set up Windows Education because we could obtain that version of Windows at a low cost using our student passes. It was obtained from a Dutch school software website. Absolutely trustworthy.

It seems the online solutions didn't work for you. You might want to set up a fresh local account and transfer your files from the old or broken profile to the new one.

I faced the same issue where one day I was only able to log into a temporary account and couldn't access my own. My profile seemed corrupted, but I could still reach the files via the general users section. I resolved it by creating a new account and transferring my files from the old one.

I found the issue appears to be corruption. Check the link for troubleshooting steps; if those fail, consider creating a fresh profile and relocating your data as recommended.
