Do you need assistance in selecting the right CPU for your tasks?
My laptop has started acting very slow and sluggish. Following the advice of someone I trust, I bought a Lenovo Slim 5 Ryzen 7 4700U model for more than $800. Only recently did I realize I had overspent, and a machine under $500 or $600 would have met my needs.
Now I need another PC for my office, but I’m very cautious about spending. I’m looking for processor, SSD, HDD, RAM, etc. The main use will be for MS Office applications, submitting tenders, and similar tasks. It won’t be used for gaming, video editing, or heavy workloads.
I’ve done some research on Google and Amazon. Now I have a few options: Ryzen 3 3250 series, Intel i3 10th generation (1005G1), or the 11th generation (1115G4). However, the 11th gen model costs at least $600, which would push my budget further out of reach. My $40 to $60 range feels tight, and I’m worried about performance if I have to run many tabs, PDFs, and Word files at once.
Please help me choose the best processor along with other important specifications. I really can’t afford everything I want while staying within my budget.
For everyday tasks, a good laptop from the past six years works well. The Lenovo T430 models, both standard and S, are affordable under $200 when you include a solid state drive and they're in decent condition. There are no major reliability problems—except perhaps occasional drops. Based on what you mentioned, you likely don’t need a 500GB storage; 256 GB should suffice, plus an external drive for backups and cloud storage for extra safety.
What you're looking for is copious amounts of ram if you plan to have multiple tabs own in your web browser, not just focusing on your processor. At least 8GB would be what I'd look at but ideally 16GB is a good cut off point. That being said, you might want to parse some links to the laptops you've narrowed down. As a side note, we'll need more information from you.

Mind you, I'm respecting this thread with regards to a laptop purchase since you've posted in the laptops section. If you need suggestions on a desktop(prebuilt), then you're going to have to recreate your thread and stylize your post differently for a system suggestion.
Thank you for your response, your idea of emphasizing the RAM is clearly understood.
Regarding links, here are some options; however, I also checked physical stores where I only have details like specifications and not exact model names or numbers. (75 INR = 1 USD)

Additionally, another issue I’m encountering is that I can’t locate a 512 GB SSD with an 8 GB RAM unit in one laptop. It seems the setup might only include 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM or 512 GB SSD paired with 4 GB RAM or 8 GB RAM and 1TB HDD. I’m still unsure about the best way to proceed.
