Additionally, Micro$oft ceased offering it at no cost because users were shifting toward Windows 8 and 8.1.

It sounds like you're trying to recover your Windows 7 Pro system. Since you're using a Win7 Pro laptop, you should be able to use restore media from the original installation disk or a bootable ISO. For torrents, you might need a compatible player and a trusted source. Regarding product keys, they are usually tied to the specific OS version, so you'd want to obtain them from the original purchase or a verified source. If you're unsure, consider using a reputable recovery tool like Recuva or DiskDigger first.

You have the product key confirmed? If yes, follow the link They offered. Unless Microsoft has made a mistake, you should be able to download a copy from there. If that fails, I’ll check if I can provide you with the ISO—I’ll set up a VM for it soon.

They said you don’t need a product key, just search online and you should find something that works.

I attempted that earlier but nothing occurred. I’m exhausted again and it confirmed: "Your entered product key seems to belong to software already installed on the device. Reach out to the manufacturer for recovery options." Does this imply you can’t use a standard ISO? If so, cloning the HDD might be your only choice (besides contacting Dell or obtaining a new key) while staying within legal guidelines.

You possess the necessary credentials, the machine is refurbished with a working key, and the operating system is already set up on an HDD. Now you're looking to upgrade to an SSD.

I checked the cloning process carefully. It seems the SSD isn't necessarily larger than the HDD—it just needs enough space for your files. Since this laptop has nothing on it, that’s fine. Regarding performance, there are no downsides to cloning; Windows won’t distinguish between the two.

A lot of work needs to be done before and after cloning an HDD to an SSD. That’s why I chose a simpler approach by just reinstalling everything.

The maintenance involves trimming to ensure it fits properly.

Download the Win7Pro ISO file, burn it onto a disc, and install it. Apply the provided key for verification.
