Is anyone aware of a Windows 7 Professional ISO? Where can I obtain one? I visited Microcenter today to purchase a used laptop for my sister’s web browsing and Minecraft. I plan to upgrade it with an SSD for better performance. Since the machine is running Windows 7 Pro, I want a fresh installation. I have a Windows 7 home premium disk, but that won’t work. I noticed Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 7 recently. Should I look for an ISO elsewhere or explore another solution? Ideally I’d like a clean install, but if not, could I clone the existing HDD instead?

You should be able to locate it on platforms such as PirateBay or other torrent sites.

Legal information available at the provided URL. Key from your HDD is required. Note: The links are currently broken. Edit #2: Possibly an OEM ISO can be shared, but uploading will take a long time. I should test it first to verify functionality.

Microsoft no longer offers downloads for Windows 7 ISO files. Using them could violate copyright rules.

The Pro version matches the Ultimate disk with a single file containing "pro" written.
You may require the OEM version for a laptop if you lack a standard key.
Visit the official site at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery for more details.

Confuse Torrents with piracy. The ISO remains free to use, but it becomes illegal only when you download a modified version that skips the activation steps.

Get the file and verify it by scanning several times for any threats. Pull out the version identifier and re-scan it multiple times. If no issues appear, proceed with that version; if detected, obtain another copy or use the alternative one. This was exactly what I needed to do with my older XP system, except I only had a professional edition, saving me money by getting a free product key.
