Do you know if some apps have special rules on what they can do?
I know that usually, a friend needs permission before they can see your photos and videos inside an app because you might want to share them there. But have any apps ever secretly copy your pictures and videos just for the sake of copying? For instance, if you don't even try to send or upload anything but they still steal your stuff off without asking? Are Google Play and Apple iOS checking their apps like that often? This scares me a lot when I give them access.
My thoughts: When someone says they give you access, it is really hard to know exactly what you actually allowed them to do. The legal words on paper and all those other rules usually let the person or thing that got the rights go almost anywhere. So even if ads or websites say one thing, it's mostly the End User Agreement (EUA) that decides things. And even when you click "I Agree" online, there might be a link somewhere that opens up the door for them to use your stuff. It doesn't mean stealing if you agreed to those terms, whether you knew about it or not.
