A good desk chair is also sufficient and probably won’t show the “gamer” style.
Yes, similar to that, with a reclining back. It's suitable for preteens, they can sit anywhere, but enjoy having their legs up on a desk, which makes a reclining back appealing.
I suggest checking out a stationery shop. They offer many types of desks to test.

A very nice, large, comfortable chair made of fabric with adjustable features I discovered last year is the Hercules Series 24/7 Intensive Use.
It was only about $225 when I purchased it.
I looked for a few months before deciding and have been extremely satisfied with this chair for more than a year now.
It fits perfectly with my keyboard tray, has no leather or faux leather, offers solid back support, thick padding that remains comfortable during long use, and includes tilt/rock features.

The main problem is that the lumbar support loses its shape when you lean or recline the chair back.
