Hey guys, can anyone help me find out what's making that loud noise when I play Total War: Warhammer 2 on my PC? Here is the sound file so you can check it out: https://www.dropbox.com/s/22olhza7ni1zd4...e.mp3?dl=0 Is this coming from my graphics card, processor, hard drive, or power supply? I have quick specs below if you need more details. My computer is an i5-8600k running at 4.8 GHz (stably overlocked), with 16GB of RAM set to 3000mhz DDR4. The GPU is a GTX 1080 from an MSI Z370 motherboard, and I have a separate M.2 SSD for my games along with Windows on another drive. My XFX PRO550W power supply is also included.

The whole system has been tested thoroughly before with apps like Prime95, 3dmark, Furmark, and many games running at ultra settings. The parts are all around four to five years old, but the PSU was bought a bit earlier back in 2014. Any advice? It's only happening while I play this specific game!

Hey, is that tick just loud at certain times? Like when things load up, during a fight, or when looking at a big map? If you remove the protective casing from your equipment, maybe you can get closer and listen better to find where the noise comes from.

My best guess is that something started happening when a fan reached a certain speed with a specific load. This happened to me once, maybe because the screw was either too loose or too tight. I didn't remember exactly which one it was. But tightening it made everything work again. Otherwise, you couldn't say anything else about it.
