The 4mm pressure on the stock fans equals two fans combined... each at 2mm. Coming from someone who has four SP120s in push/pull on their H100i, the SP120s are significantly quieter (technical term, haha). And yes, they look much better too.

Absolutely. From a business perspective, it doesn't make sense for them to manufacture premium 120mm fans that don't match the quality of products already available.

I'll verify this with Corsair and expect the SP 120s to be quieter due to their lower RPM.

If you're seeking good static air pressure fans, these options stand out:
NF-F12 PWM (2,61 mm H2O)
http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=produ...g=en&set=1
SP120 PWM High Performance Edition (3.1 mm/H20)
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/air-series-...-twin-pack
The high performance models are excessively noisy for most setups. Quieter versions perform much better. Generally, Corsair SP120 fans aren't particularly impressive.

Depends on the individual. Stock enthusiasts on high don't bother me, though I don't always go for silent builds. They'll only get noisy when playing games.

ltc :
I just got an H55 and I'm starting to grasp how it functions.
My concern is whether I can swap the fan for another one, like a case fan?
I think it won't move as much air, but that should be enough:
Check this link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6835146001
Yes, just make sure it matches the same size. I'm planning to use two of these:
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as...520a24060c
to a 240mm radiator, increasing from 60 cfm to 504 cfm.
