I've been trying for days to install an old Windows 3 game called Ultimate Haunted House (by Gahan Wilson) with a DOS box. The error says "This needs windows" and I can't get past it. I know people have tried using dosbox before, even streaming the game on some sites, but it still won't work. Any tips? This thing makes my brain hurt just trying to run it.

You must install Windows 3 first! Then install drivers for graphics, sound, and SoundBlaster 16. After that, you can run your game in Windows 3 and play it. If you check a guide at dosbox-x.com/wiki/Guide:Installing-Windows-3.x on Google, there are lots of helpful resources. You might even find fully installed packages to save time instead of doing everything yourself.

I am trying to make this function, but I don't know if it is there in dosbox yet. Maybe you could find one that comes with it already included?

That's not legal and no developer is going to do that, just like you said if you check Google there are many abandoned ware forums with ready-to-run packages. You still need to know how to put the Windows folder in DOS box so it can find it and mount your game ISO file.

Is this game still included as a DOS program too? That used to be very common back then, so it feels weird when nobody gives you a DOS file anymore.
