Hey everyone,
I’m looking for someone who enjoys IT laptops and might have some recommendations. I’m searching for a business or IT laptop, but after checking my options, I haven’t found anything that matches all my requirements without being delayed in stock. Could anyone suggest something suitable?

My needs are:
- WiFi 6E (not just WiFi 6 – this is essential for testing)
- Either the latest generation or an older model with i5/i7 or Ryzen 5/7
- At least 256GB NVMe SSD and 16GB RAM
- Two USB ports: one USB-C and one USB-A built in
- Good battery life
- Preferred features include USB-C charging, Ethernet, and a centered trackpad (though I can skip those if others fit)
- No need for high-end graphics or gaming performance; integrated graphics should suffice
- Operating system should be Windows 10 or 11

I’m aiming for a price between $700 and $1000, and refurbished/used units would work if the specs are correct.

Any suggestions or feedback would be really helpful!

Thank you for the suggestion, Eximo. As you know, there are many choices available. In this case, I should have been more precise—I’m open to skipping the USB C charging, ethernet port, and centered trackpad if there aren’t any other alternatives. Still, I’m curious if you or anyone else has a laptop that meets all the features I mentioned. Thank you again for your feedback, and I’m keeping the search going on my own.

HP might be a bit off in design, often featuring more ports and a centered USB trackpad. It hasn’t been my go-to for a while now. Usually I stick with Dell. Right now I have a Latitude 3520. It lacks a centered trackpad. I’m running an i7-1165G7, Nvidia MX350, with 32GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. It works fine.

In that price range you won’t find the sleek ultrabooks or premium models, but those usually end up with a Type-C port, which is nice. Ethernet could be a dongle.
