Do you have any recommendations for good hyper lightweight recording programs?
I'm looking for a minimal program to capture gameplay, especially Minecraft. Usually I have decent frame rates but not stable recording with OBS. Shadowplay isn't available on my graphics card, and Xbox Game Bar doesn't work either. Anything truly lightweight I've found is either watermarked, has paywalls, or just records the screen poorly during gameplay.
OBS has the ability to modify encoding parameters to lower CPU consumption, affecting both output file size and quality. Setting the recording quality to "Same as stream" and using the streaming/encoder preset "ultrafast" achieves this. However, increasing the video bitrate is a less effective method; after this step, you may need another tool like Avidemux to re-encode the recording for more suitable file sizes.
